The Vejibag is a revolutionary produce bag that will keep your fruits and vegetables crisp and fresh. When damp, it works by allowing moisture-loving vegetables to stay in a breathable but high humidity environment. Thanks to its natural organic cotton fabric, moisture slowly evaporates from the surface of the bag, creating an environment that allows produce to breathe. Sealed plastic bags create a non-breathable environment that keeps in ethylene gas, which leads to rotting, limp produce.

Vejibag was designed by a greenhouse owner determined to find a zero waste bag that can keep fruits, vegetables and herbs fresh, twice as long as a plastic bag can do. Taking inspiration from an age-old trick of keeping vegetables wrapped in moistened tea towels or burlap and fusing that with the knowledge that moisture-loving vegetables hold well in cool, damp environments, she developed a reusable, breathable produce bag. The result is Vejibag, (pronounced veggie bag), made from organic cotton that’s grown, milled and sewn in the USA, a produce bag that helps eliminate food waste and save money in the long run.
