Why do coffee makers usually fail?

Broken heating elements, blockages, electrical failure - a lot can go wrong with coffee machines. Coffee grounds plus water is a recipe for dirt buildup and leaks, meaning even with meticulous maintenance issues tend to arise.

Why this one will last:

This manual espresso maker is almost absurdly simple: pop in your grounds, pour hot water in the top, and push down the arms. No electricity, no pods, very little to go wrong. And if something does? Replacement parts are easily available.
