Designer 725 Blender by Blendtec
The Buy Me Once Verdict

Blendtec's flagship for the home: a 3.8-horsepower motor, a touch slider instead of a dial, and a square WildSide jar that pulls ingredients down without a tamper. Quieter and shorter than a Vitamix, and built by a Utah company that has made the same drive for decades.

Why it lasts: the motor and drive carry the longest warranty of any home blender.

Guarantee: 8 years parts and labour on the Designer 725 (10 on the Professional 800). The blade is moulded into the jar, so a worn bearing means a new jar rather than a small part; jars are 3 years.
