How do you vet products and brands to ensure that what they offer is truly made to last?
We’re so glad you asked! We match all potential products and brands to our five main criteria:
- Do the materials and craftsmanship make this product more durable than its competitors?
- Do the reviews of the product confirm its durability?
- Is it made ethically and if possible is it made of sustainable materials?
- Is this product timeless?
- Does the manufacturer offer any aftercare? We love “no quibble” or full lifetime warranties!

This is an incredible idea and I want to help! How can I get involved with BuyMeOnce?
We’re so thrilled you think so! There are a few ways passionate people such as yourself can get involved in BuyMeOnce, depending on the amount of spare time you have on your hands!
The first is to help us research the longest lasting products in the world. If this is something you would be interested in helping out with, we use the criteria above to vet our products. Every time you come across a new product that screams BuyMeOnce to you, test it against these criteria and let us know if you’ve found something amazing! You can email your suggestions to us with the subject heading “Product suggestion.”
The second way you can help out is by being a contributor to our blog. We have a few very talented and passionate writers helping us out on a bi-monthly basis by providing us with beautiful, well-researched prose. If you have a flair for the written word or a skill you’d like to share and would like to learn more about being a contributor, check out our contributor guidelines.
The final (and easiest but exceptionally useful!) way you can help is simply to spread the word about BuyMeOnce and our mission. The more people that know about us means we’ll grow faster and the more products we will be able to put on the site and the more countries we’ll be able to expand into! You can do this by sharing our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube profiles with your friends, family, colleagues, postman, etc, and subscribing to our mailing list and forwarding our mailers.

We do! However, we’re only in the early stages of planning for our global domination, so we’re very sorry but we can’t give anyone specific dates. To keep updated on this topic, you can subscribe to the email list that is nearest to you.

As much as Tara would love to speak to everyone, she is an extremely busy woman! That’s why we’ve put together a little press package for you. Something I bought from your website broke! What should I do?
While all of the products on BuyMeOnce are built to last a long time, please understand that manufacturing errors occur from time to time. We’re so sorry that this has happened to you, and we appreciate the frustration this must be causing. Please send us an email via our contact form detailing the specific product, what happened to it and whether you bought it through us directly or through one of our affiliates. All of the products on our site are backed by manufacturers guarantees, so while we have little control over how our brands choose to deal with the issue, we promise to help you as much as we can.
Do you have a loyalty program?
We can’t say too much about this at present but we do recommend signing up for our newsletter and keeping your eyes peeled for more info very soon!
