Each best-selling salt and pepper mill uses T&G’s patented CrushGrind® technology. These grinders feature ceramic mechanisms which are non-corrosive, non-porous and harder and more durable than steel burrs. Ceramic burrs are preferred for their ability to crush whole spices instead of chopping them - chopping dilutes the flavour of the spice and can be inconsistent. All of T&G’s CrushGrind® mills can grind spices as well as salt and pepper and feature 12 settings from fine to coarse grind. The Opera salt mill from T&G is stylishly crafted from beech wood with a beautiful antique finish. Care Instructions: If the mechanism gets clogged, empty the mill and clean the mechanism with a small brush. Mill bodies can be kept clean by wiping them over with a damp cloth. Wooden models will benefit from an occasional application for mineral or T&G wood oil to enhance the appearance and prevent the wood from drying out. Not dishwasher safe.
