The Buy Me Once Verdict
The cleverest bit of engineering in this guide. Rechargeable flashlights usually die because the battery or the USB port wears out, and both are sealed inside. Fenix put the USB-C port on the battery pack instead, so when it eventually goes you replace a $12.95 battery, not the light. And if you are miles from a charger, it also runs on two ordinary AAs. Aircraft aluminum body, glass lens, waterproof to 2 meters.
The weakest link it solves: Built-in batteries and worn charging ports, which retire most rechargeable lights in a few years.
