Assistent Original Stand Mixer by Ankarsrum
The Buy Me Once Verdict

Hand-built in Sweden since 1940. The bowl turns, not the tool, driven by a belt from a 1.5-horsepower motor underneath, which is why it kneads seven loaves of dough without complaint and why there is no gearbox to wear out.

Why it lasts: no sacrificial worm gear, no packed-grease gearbox, and every part sold direct from Ankarsrum's US store.

Guarantee: 7 years. Not sold on Amazon; the link goes to Ankarsrum direct and earns us nothing.
