Rabbiting Spade

The Rabbiting Spade’s shape was historically used for retrieving small hunting dogs or ferrets from collapsed rabbit holes. Nowadays, the curved blade is more suited for transplanting and repotting shrubs, especially if they are found in confined spaces as it’s perfect for digging deep, precise rounded holes without disturbing other surrounding plants. The forged head that Bulldog is known for is topped with an extremely sturdy FSC-certified ash wood handle.

  • Head: 10.5 x 5.5 in.
  • Solid forged spade head with American and German FSC Ash D-handle
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Made in Britain
  • Narrow curved blade suitable for planting and transplanting

For over 200 years, Bulldog Tools have been a trusted name among gardeners, farmers and professional landscapers worldwide, outlasting other tools in the shed and being passed down from one generation to another. Their forged spades and forks are still made from a single piece of metal and crafted from an extremely strong and durable steel. The end result is a garden tool that is as resilient and strong as its company’s namesake, with tools that take pride of place in any shed or garden setting.
