White's builds these by hand in Spokane, Washington, and its rebuild service, on your original last, replaces the outsole, midsole, insole, heel, heel counter and even the leather vamp. There is no synthetic filler inside to crumble: leather midsole, leather shank, handsewn stitchdown. White's calls it the boot that set the industry standard in forestry, which tells you what it was built to survive.
